NSW: Second youth charged over bashing

SYDNEY, Dec 30 AAP - A second youth has been charged over the brutal bashing of a man
at a Sydney leagues club earlier this month.

Glyn Aiers, a kitchen hand from Ryde, was attacked after being chased onto a rooftop
car park at a leagues club in Balmain on December 14.

Minutes after the attack, the 19-year-old was found by security guards and rushed to hospital.

Police today said they arrested a 16-year-old boy at a caravan park at Scots Head on
the NSW north coast and charged him with maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm and
affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Bidura Childrens Court on January 23.

Last week, police charged a 17-year-old youth in Gladesville, Sydney.

He will appear in Bidura on January 21.
