FED: DFAT warns of possible Y2K chaos for travellers

CANBERRA, Feb 26 AAP - Cancelled flights, power and water failures, civil strife,
overloaded hospitals and no money are some of the crises Australians may face because of the
millennium bug, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) today warned.

"Australians travelling abroad in the period late 1999 to early 2000 should be aware that
the millennium bug may cause breakdowns in some essential services in some countries," the
