Sealant for thermal spray coatings from Aremco. (Materials).

Aremco Products Inc has introduced a high-temperature sealant intended for use in filling the microporous voids in various thermal spray coatings.

Ceramacoat 503-VFG-S is a water-dispersible, alumina-filled sealant that is, according to the US firm, a chemically resistant material that will not outgas or decompose in corrosive applications to 1760[degrees]C.

The product is applied using a sponge, brush or pneumatic spray equipment. A full cure is achieved after exposure for 1-2 hours at 370[degrees]C. The product sinters and strengthens as it is exposed to temperatures above 535[degrees]C, the company states.
